Director Brooklyn Demme finished this powerful documentary short he began with his late father, (Jonathan Demme), chronicling the fight of the indigenous Ramapough tribe to retain their sacred prayergrounds, a struggle they claim is at the heart of their existence. Q&A after the screening with members of the Ramapough tribe, moderated by Tim Greiving (NPR, L.A. Times)  Screening outside of competition.

The Warner Library and Sleepy Hollow International Film Festival present a free screening of the 1985 Walt Disney fantasy adventure RETURN TO OZ, the inventive and exciting follow up tale to the legendary classic THE WIZARD OF OZ. Directed by Walter Murch and starring Fairuza Balk, Nicol Williamson and Piper Laurie, RETURN TO OZ has built a following of devoted fans that continues to grow and grow. Now he’s back with AD NAUSEAM II and AD ASTRA: 20 YEARS OF NEWSPAPER ADS FOR SCI-FI & FANTASY FILMS, two deeper dives into his archive, featuring hundreds of ads for movies big and small, classic and notorious.
