35 years ago, horror icon Jason Voorhees was to meet his grisly… end? Well, not quite, (as cinema history would reveal two years later), but director Joseph Zito keeps a brisk, brutal pace churning, and special effects guru Tom Savini keeps the crimson flowing, as Jason slashes his way through a game cast that includes the likes of Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman. THE FINAL CHAPTER maintains its sturdy place in the FRIDAY THE 13TH canon, and to help us celebrate its 35th Anniversary, legendary composer Harry Manfredini, whose remarkable orchestral FRIDAY music scores are as vital to the franchise as Jason himself, will be in the house for a special Q&A before the film! Having served as Jason’s main maestro since the very first FRIDAY in 1980, Manfredini, (arguably responsible for contemporary horror’s most famous musical phrase), discusses his special relationship with this franchise, and how he’s kept us all on the edge of our seats for decades!
Several of Mr. Manfredini’s FRIDAY THE 13TH score soundtrack CDs, including THE FINAL CHAPTER, with be available at the Festival’s Merchandise Area in the Lobby. The maestro is happy to autograph any CDs purchased on site.
